It is no longer necessary to cut the birds tendons but there is a lot of paperwork that has to be done and a series of tests that your vet must run before you can get a CITES from CR. This is truly barbaric. I notice this was written a year ago. Is this still the case at the end of 2008? I've heard about a new law that will let you bring a pet bird into the country but you can never take them back out. Is this "tendon" law still in effect, or still in practice? Oh my God!
