Drugs at the airport

If you have traveled through the San Jose airport lately, you have no doubt seen the drug search dogs. The handlers bring the dogs up to every passenger to smell their luggage and sometimes their person.
This process has paid off for Costa Rican authorities on several occasions. Most recently found was a Canadian man with cocaine strapped to his chest but there have been several large drug busts over the past year.
Costa Rica boasts of their drug smuggling prevention efforts and for good reason.
